Experiments in Kombucha

Dixie and I had a blast at the dog park yesterday! I took the top two photos yesterday. Check out how much bigger she is now when compared to a similar shot I took back in June (below). She’s 9 months old now!

Today was perfect. Creamy pumpkin banana oats, a clarifying 90 min. power yoga session with Ryan, a scrumptious lunch at Infusion Tea and a big vegan cookie from Whole Foods. Perfection.IMG_7085

Wasn’t my lunch date gorgeous? Ryan is the best- she just lights up the room!

IMG_7087

For lunch I went with the first meal I had at Infusion Tea- the Milton Salad and Tempeh Chili.

IMG_7088IMG_7089

After lunch I stopped by Whole Foods for a vegan chocolate chip cookie. They were out so I went with a vegan everything cookie.

IMG_7093

This cookie really had everything in it: chocolate chips, white chips, walnuts, raisins, coconut…. It was tasty, but everything might have been too much.

In the search for kombucha I enjoy, I tried a High Country Goji Berry Kombucha Tea over the last week. Today I picked up two more to try!

IMG_7107

I love High Country kombucha!! The vinegar smell is minimal and the taste is actually pretty good. I’m going with this brand from now on.

Have you tried kombucha? What’s your favorite brand?

Aww Dixie is gorgeous, as always! Never tried Kombucha - haven't seen it around here, but haven't really been looking! Will have a look out for it here!

From a new blog reader of yours...your salad looks amazing! I've never tried that brand of Kombucha. I've only tried GT's stuff and I really love it! I just wish it was slightly less expensive!

mmm that cookie is good, but I don't like white chocolate chips. Their jumble cookies are good too! My favorite kombucha is by far the Synergy brand. Hands down. I've tried others and they are ick.

I love your dog! I wish I had a WFs close to me because I LOVE those cookies!

I want to try Kombucha SO badly! I know it's supposed to be gross but everyone says it makes you feel good.

  8. Lacey Nicole on October 29, 2009 3:58 PM

  9. platipus329 on October 29, 2009 4:07 PM

I've only had the GT Synergy brand. I like some of it. I really wish it didn't have the floaty things though.

  12. Lauren on October 29, 2009 8:16 PM

I love your lunch dates with Ryan! They are always so heart warming and again, I can't get over how much I love that this place serves soup in mugs. Why doesn't more restaraunts do this? ;)

Never tried Kombucha but now that everyone talks about it, I must try it out of pure curioustiy now.

I have not tried kombucha yet...I do have some in the fridge though...just waiting for me. Why do I fear that it will taste awful?

  17. Allie (Live Laugh Eat) on October 30, 2009 12:23 AM

Is that the jumbles cookie!??! I LOVE Whole Foods cookies....SO much!! The sight of that is making my mouth water!

  18. Stacey on October 30, 2009 1:18 PM

  19. Diana on October 30, 2009 2:45 PM

I love kombucha, but the truth is I've only ever had Synergy brand I guess! I dont' buy it often enough to be a connoisseur anyway. Would be fun to try making my own!

  20. Erica on October 30, 2009 2:57 PM

WOW! Dixie has gotten huge- she is so so cute! Sounds like a wonderful day. I really enjoy WFs cookies. They never taste overly sugary. Haven't tried the Kombucha yet- I'm toooo nervous
